The former Chewra Tehilim prayer house was built in 1896 under the direction of the architect Nachman Kopald based on an unknown project. We know that there was a prayer room on the ground floor as well as a women's gallery. After 1951, the building became the headquarters of the "Krakowiacy" Song and Dance Group. In 2008, wall paintings depicting biblical motifs and numerous friezes with floral motifs were discovered inside the synagogue. High up on the prayer room’s western wall there are images of four biblical animals ( lion, tiger, eagle and deer) in the decorative frames. On the level of the women's gallery there is an inscription in Hebrew and a fragment of a view of Jerusalem. In 2017, the contemporary minded yet traditional in spirit HEVRE community centre has opened a new chapter in the building's history. HEVRE combines several different spaces - cafeteria, restaurant, bar, music club and a creative work space. HEVRE is located on three floors.
